- Camp Philosophy -- Your camp's philosophy should match your personal philosophy. Kingsmont is a traditional camp with emphasis on making weight loss a fun experience while building self-worth, confidence, and making long lasting friendships.
- Quality Staff -- Your camp should have a mature, educated, well trained, and quality staff. Kingsmont's Director's have many years of camp and youth recreation experience. The entire staff spends a week in training at the beginning of the season. All staff must be enrolled in or have graduated from a 4-year University and have a background in Physical education, Psychology, sport management, Nutrition or Elementary/Secondary Education.
- Program Flexibility -- Your camp should allow flexibility for the camper. Do the campers select their own activities or are they assigned? Kingsmont operates much like a college campus, with campers controlling their own activities and their out-of-camp trips.
